How to choose good milk powder for your baby How to choose good milk for your baby

  1. Identify the color: The color of good milk powder should be uniform and pure natural milk yellow, followed by light yellow, and the powder should be dry, loose and not agglomerated; if the milk powder is too white, and there are crystals and luster on close inspection, or it is bleached, or has other unnatural colors, it may be fake milk powder.
  2. Smell the smell: Open the package, good milk powder has the unique frankincense of milk; inferior milk powder has little frankincense, or even no frankincense, or only a sweet and greasy aroma.
  3. Try the feel: Good milk powder is fine, and it will make a “squeaking” sound when you pinch the milk powder bag with your fingers and rub it back and forth; while inferior milk powder is mixed with soft white sugar, glucose and other ingredients, the particles are coarse, and it will make a “rustling” sound when rubbed.
  4. Taste: Put a little milk powder in your mouth to taste it. Good milk powder is fine and sticky, easy to stick to teeth, tongue and palate, dissolves quickly and tastes light and not sweet; while inferior milk powder dissolves quickly in the mouth and does not stick to teeth, and has a strong sweet taste.
  5. Check the solubility: Use boiling water to mix the milk powder. If the milk powder can be completely dissolved, the milk liquid is uniform and clear, and there is little foam residue on the surface, the milk powder has good solubility. If there is obvious agglomeration and a lot of foam is produced, it is not good for the baby and can easily cause milk spillage and hiccups.
  6. Check the solubility: Put the milk powder in a cup and mix it with cold boiled water. The real milk powder needs to be stirred to dissolve into a milky white turbid liquid; the fake milk powder can automatically dissolve or precipitate without stirring. When mixing with hot boiled water, the real milk powder forms a suspended object that floats up and will stick to the spoon at the beginning of stirring; the adulterated milk powder dissolves quickly.
